Lamination
Lamination effectively protects the surface of printed materials from abrasion, scratches, or surface wetting, giving them greater rigidity and a better appearance.
We distinguish 3 types of lamination:
- glossy - increases color depth and contrast
- matte - decreases color depth and contrast
- matte "anti-scratch" - decreases color depth and contrast, increased scratch resistance
- matte "soft-touch" - decreases color depth and contrast, positively affects red shades
Matte films are commonly used in combination with selective gloss varnishing to achieve a special effect.
Hot stamping - allows printing an object or text in the form of a metallic object. Under the influence of temperature, a special hot matrix embeds the pattern/text from the metallic foil. The most popular hot stamping colors are gold and silver.
