Helpful information about preparing files for printing

PDF File Review Service by the Printing House

This is a paid service that includes an assessment of the submitted project for print readiness by a printing house employee.

The following aspects are checked:

  • dimensions match the order
  • bleed size for trimming
  • color space
  • margin from the trimming edge
  • resolution of used images
  • whether the order specifications raise any concerns

The review does not cover spelling errors, substantive errors, or other errors not listed above. If any issues preventing printing are identified, the printing house will inform the client via email, suggesting changes. Under no circumstances is the printing house responsible for projects submitted for printing.

Minor Corrections by the Printing House

This is a paid service that includes making changes to the client’s file.

Examples of changes the printing house can make to a PDF file:

  • assembling a cover (two pages + spine)
  • adding bleed
  • changing the format (e.g., A4 to A5)
  • removing or moving an object
  • adding text (word or number)
